Termination Bands
Bergen termination bands reliably secure EMI/RFI shielding onto a connector backshell. Our steel bands are qualified to M85049/128-3 and M85049/128-4. They are supplied in both flat and coiled configurations and are .250” wide.

Cable Manufacturing Process
Rotary Swaging
Rotary swaging allows for tight tolerances, finer surface finishes and greater breaking strengths for cylindrical-type end fittings. The process joins end fittings to cable and wire rope using rotary hammer forming.
Cutting and Stripping
Ewald flash cutters quickly and precisely cut cable to create fused ends that will not unravel. For applications that require coated cable, our custom-made stripping machines remove the coating from the crimping area to achieve its proper holding strength. We have the ability to strip coated cable and wire rope up to a 3/8” diameter.
Crimping Presses
The use of hydraulic and pneumatic presses allows us to effectively and efficiently crimp end fittings to cable and wire rope. Our presses range from small pneumatic presses to powerful 175-ton hydraulic presses.
Pull Testing
Every aircraft cable assembly goes through compliance testing to ensure accurate performance. The combination of our United testers, customized digital proof loaders, and purpose-built facility enables both proof and destructive load testing at loads up to 22,500 lbf, with full-length validation up to 106 ft.
Finishing
Bergen ensures your part number is present on your assembly via electromechanical etching, hot stamping, metal stamping, heat shrink markers, and laser marking. Secondary processes such as plating, heat treating, and testing are provided by trusted external partners.
Packaging
From aircraft cables to terminations bands, every order is properly packaged. From basic bulk packaging to individually packed parts using specific materials requested by our customers, Bergen Cable products arrive as they left our facility. We also have the ability to provide military-specification packaging when required.
